I used to work as a regular rank and file employee in a magazine company. I have a stable income but since our family is growing, I needed to find an extra income. I wife needs to stay at home and take care of our kids and I need to work two jobs to make both ends meet. Then one day my wife asked me if I wanted to sell some pastries to my co workers, it will be an added income for our household. I brought a few boxes of pastries and tarts and have my colleagues have a taste test. By the end of the day, I have multiple orders. We spent the night making lots of pastries, I was able to get a fifty orders in one day that is only in our department. The next few weeks, the orders were tripled and all the department in our building were placing an order. Now my wife and I own the most successful and profitable pastry shop in our area.
One sunny day, I was cutting my lawn grass when a salesman approached me, he was selling shampoos and hair conditioners at a very much discounted price. It so happen that the products he was selling were my brand. I asked him, why he was offering them at almost half the price, he told me they are factory overrun and there are some defects in the packaging so they do not pass the quality standard. I was assured that the packaging was the only problem but the contents are genuine. So purchased a box thinking I will be saving a lot from my toiletries. But when I tried the products, they were fake. I ended up loosing more money because of trying to save money.
